ASTIPA is pleased to announce the launch of the project BE SMART – CULTURARTESPORT PER L’INCLUSIONE SOCIALE, winner of the call for proposal “Giovani SMART 2.0” of Regione Lombardia.
The project, which will run from October 2024 to June 2025, aims to promote active participation, social inclusion and psychophysical wellbeing among young people, involving over 1,100 high school students, 300 young people from oratories and 90 students from College Como, an international institute for young people aged 14 to 19. The municipalities of Cinisello Balsamo and Varedo will be an active part of the project.
Psychologists and professionals will guide the young people in paths of reflection and skills development to overcome limiting stereotypes and obstacles, through physical, cognitive and socio-relational experiences. The project also offers cultural and artistic opportunities to stimulate creativity and counter phenomena such as bullying and marginalisation.
March 2025: Pietro Benini Competition
A central event of the project will be the Pietro Benini Competition, which will award prizes for the best writings and reflections on the topic ‘Sport and Disability’, produced by young people during 2024. The award ceremony will be held on 14 March 2025 at the Palalido (Allianz Cloud) in Milan, during the event ‘I Giovani per i Giovani’. Entries must be submitted by 7 March 2025.
May 2025: Closing event
The project will culminate in a big closing event in May 2025 at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Cinisello Balsamo, with performances, testimonies and activities to celebrate the results achieved in terms of inclusion and participation.
