International conference in Milan

ASTIPA successfully organized the international conference “Psychological Crisis Among Youth: Role and Tools of the Public System”, hosted by the Metropolitan City of Milan.

The event brought together Italian and Polish experts, public officials, and academics to exchange knowledge and strategies on how institutions can better support young people facing psychological challenges.

Moderated by Valentino Necco (ASTIPA), the panel discussion featured contributions by Carmine Pacente (Metropolitan City of Milan), focusing on youth issues and local public services; Prof. Przemysław Czarnek (John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, former Minister of Education and Science of the Polish government), who presented insights into Polish educational policy; Prof. Luca Luigi Ceriani (Catholic University of Milan), addressing the challenges of adolescence; Prof. Magdalena Sitek (Rector, Alcide De Gasperi University of Euroregional Economy, Józefów), who examined the evolution of youth rights in the European legal context; and Dr. Dariusz Budrowski (Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School in Warsaw), who shared findings from the SGMK project on child suicides.

An open discussion allowed participants to share practical solutions and recommendations, highlighting the importance of cross-border cooperation in tackling youth mental health issues.

With this initiative, ASTIPA confirms its commitment to fostering dialogue, promoting innovation, and building international networks to strengthen public responses to the psychological crisis among young people.
