“I Giovani per i Giovani” 2025

Sport, Inclusion and Young Voices at the Allianz Cloud

On Friday, March 14, 2025, the 42nd edition of I Giovani per i Giovani took place at the Allianz Cloud in Milan — a historic event dedicated to youth engagement and the social inclusion of people with disabilities through sport. Over 2,500 students, teachers, and volunteers gathered for a morning of inclusive sports demonstrations, personal testimonies, and shared experiences centred on solidarity, friendship, and participation.

This year’s edition was part of the regional project Be Smart – Sii Intelligente! CulturArteSport per l’Inclusione Sociale, funded by Regione Lombardia and coordinated by AIDD ODV-ETS in collaboration with ASTIPA and I Giovani per i Giovani. The project involves 1,100 students from local high schools, 300 young people from parish youth groups, and 90 students from an international college in Como. Its goal is to promote mental and physical well-being, active citizenship, and inclusive values among young people, especially those at risk of marginalisation.

During the event, students were invited to take part in inclusive exhibitions of sports such as sitting volleyball, baskin, fencing, and football — activities open to all, regardless of ability. A special moment was offered by the opening demonstration by guide dogs from the Lions training school, which captured the attention and emotion of the entire audience.

I Giovani per i Giovani is more than a sports event: it is an educational experience that speaks directly to the hearts and minds of young people. It shows that school can be a place where inclusion is not just discussed, but lived — through action, relationships, and shared goals.

The Be Smart project will continue through June 2025, offering further opportunities for cultural, artistic, and experiential learning to help young people develop resilience, creativity, and a strong sense of community.
